OUR PROJECTS
Empowering Youth Through Life Skills Education
Sakh’Ulutsha is dedicated to equipping young people with the lifeskills they need to make positive choices and thrive. Operating in four of South Africa’s nine provinces—Eastern Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and the Western Cape—we primarily work within metropolitan areas in partnership with schools.
Through our programs, we offer Lifeskills education as a key component of the Life Orientation curriculum, reaching boys and girls aged 6 to 18. Using age-appropriate, approved curricula, we challenge youth to address critical issues relevant to their development.
HOW SAKH'ULUTSHA OPERATES IN SCHOOLS
At Sakh’Ulutsha, we are dedicated to fostering positive partnerships with schools, operating with sensitivity and respect for the school environment and its unique needs. We prioritize collaboration with educators, ensuring our programs align with school timetables and uphold instructional time.
Sakh’Ulutsha embraces the values of religious freedom, respect for diversity, and the rights of all individuals. We work alongside existing school initiatives, Department of Education programs, and Life Orientation curricula, providing supplementary support that reinforces and enhances students’ learning experiences.
Our approach is one of partnership and support, working to complement the essential role that schools play in shaping the future of young people. By integrating seamlessly into the educational environment, we offer programs and resources that help students grow in ways that respect and uphold the values of our nation.
PARENTS AS PARTNERS
At Sakh’Ulutsha, we recognize that parents, guardians, and caregivers play a vital role in reinforcing the positive lessons and life skills young people learn through our programs. Wherever possible, we provide intentional support and resources for parents and caregivers, helping to create a nurturing environment that extends beyond the classroom. By building strong, collaborative relationships with families, we ensure that our youth are supported at every level, fostering lasting growth through a “parents as partners” approach.

Holiday Clubs
During school holidays, we organize 3-5 day community-based holiday clubs to engage young people in positive, enriching activities. These clubs provide a safe environment where participants can have fun, build friendships, and learn valuable life skills while their parents are at work.
